Sand moving through our fingers. Instantaneously. The moment lives through sensation and the passage of time is felt, bringing us to the essential… the wonder and magic of living.
This is the highest message when we work out: How to feel all kinds of movement!
Even in the apparent stillness of our body there is movement – the heart is beating, blood flowing, waves of breath ebb and flow and muscles are relaxing. Changes are constant.
Beyond the realm of these physical movements there are yet subtler movements: emotions. The etymology of the word comes from the latin “emovere”, where the “e” means “out” and “movere” “to move”. Emotions move us.
The physical body is always moving as are our emotions and thoughts. This is the tripartite dance of being human and within this ongoing composition, lies the full scope of our personal experience.
Working out is about feeling and observing this mixture of movements from the vantage point of empowering serenity that moves us to the center of who we are … with a graduating profound appreciation of renewing depths and richnesses.
